Habitat for Humanity, San Bernardino Area

Our one-year discussions with the Redlands Redevelopment Agency has been positively rewarded. The Redlands City Council approved a proposal to disburse $112,000 in Redevelopment funds to Habitat at the council meeting on Tuesday, March 20th. These funds will be applied towards land acquisition costs for a Habitat house on Tribune Street. Habitat has already secured construction funds from the HEDCO Foundation ($55,000), Larry Jacinto Construction ($25,000) and 1st Centennial Bank of Redlands ($25,000). Our architect, Mike Williamson is in the process of finalizing house plans to be submitted to the planning commission for approval.

Hammer it Home is Habitat's fundraising campaign to raise funds for our next home in San Bernardino. Thanks to the Redevelopment Agency, Cutting Edge Supply Company, Robert and Marion Wiens and other individual donors, and the proceeds from the Wine and Cheese event held last year, we have secured some construction funds for this project but we still need your financial support. Through the Hammer it Home campaign you can provide windows, doors, nails and roof for the Ray family.
